Advanced Spontaneous Combustion

ADSC21

Spontaneous combustion is a major hazard in underground coal mining operations. If not detected early and managed properly, it can lead to death, injury, and productivity loss.

Upon completion of the training, you will be able to identify and explain the fundamentals of spontaneous combustions hazards and risks, identify and explain the fundamentals of spontaneous combustion control systems and procedures, identify and apply resources to the spontaneous combustion management plan, identify and respond to spontaneous combustion indicators, apply mine atmosphere monitoring systems and procedures and apply control measures.
