In a way, the lofty standards of anything less than perfect became not good enough when it came to Pixar. Ironically for a film that tries to show at times that selfishness and pride can lead to downfall and destruction, Brave ultimately backtracks because selfishness and pride are two qualities considered good in today’s world especially in the progressive mindset.
